Hong Kong Buffet - New Hope: Discover a Flavorful Dining Experience

Reviews can be contradicting as I was skeptical of all the negative experiences. However, my experience was a total opposite. Keep in mind that this buffet is not mind-blowing and will not be the best you will ever taste, but my overall experience is amazing as the food was not heavy or overpowering with msg or of high sodium. Flavors were noticeable but not rich. Best ice cream soft serve; comparable to McDonald's. Everything was very casual and slow paced to your liking. Food never ran out and stayed warm. I have had many buffets in other states before, and if I were a local in the city, this place would definitely be my to go. I would not travel for for affordable price and food since there are limitations the buffet has to offer. Nevertheless, don't be afraid to try it out if you're in the area.

The food was amazing, there were not as many options as some places but it was still a lot. Not too busy for a Sunday lunch, the workers were very kind and quick getting us in as fast as they could. They have some cool RGB lighting on the ceiling so that was a plus. Nice music in the background too.

Definitely a first as my family explored outside of the city to dine since we moved to Crystal last summer. The atmosphere was not there for sure, as it was very quiet and there was only an old couple by the time we came in. The server was very nice to us however, and served us efficiently and quickly. The food options were alright, but the food was definitely old as my mother felt bloated after she finished eating. The place felt uncared for, as windows were dirty in certain areas, and the flooring seemed old and uncleaned. Overall, better than what I expected. It was a first, and probably our last for quite a while.

I have been going here since 1997 and several of my neighbors as well & used to love it . Not anymore sadly. What happened to some of the food ? The egg foo young was very awful with big chunks of veg and the gravy was lumpy . Not to mention the white rice was a bit mushy . I understand new ownership again. At least thats what I heard . Wont be going back. Sad!

Myself & greater family meet & dine here regularly for many decades. Buffet selection is always flavorful & I enjoy its soft serve ice cream. It’s a huge value for your dining $. I grew up dining at my extended families’ Minnesota Cantonese family restaurants. Hong Kong buffet food is consistently good quality & has tasty favor.

After a heavy evening of partaking in spirits, this place a heaven on earth. Showed at 11am, and didn't leave disappointed. Walnut shrimp, cream cheese wontons, salt and pepper chicken, all fire. I'm mad that I just found this place and it's been here for ages. The ice cream and walnut cookie combo was a perfect topper to a solid meal. Especially for the price, this place is a fantastic option. Loved it, will bring some amigos w me next time.

Such a great find! A very generous and high variety buffet offering. No frills decor, but good, hot, quality food. Our family (2 a, 1 teen, 1 child) all found ample options and filled more than a plate each. The only less than stellar were egg rolls, and egg foo young, which would probably be really great if ordered ala carte. We will make this a regular post church spot.
